NEVER IN THE HISTORY OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY HAVE WE BEEN MORE DISUNITED!
The United Kingdom has become a more disunited nation, not because its people have stopped caring about their country, but because many no longer share the same vision of what that country should be. The bonds that once linked its nations, regions and communities have been strained by economic inequality, political fragmentation and a growing sense that different parts of the UK are travelling in different directions. For decades, London and the South East have prospered while many industrial towns and regions have struggled to replace lost industries. Communities that once derived pride and purpose from coal, steel, manufacturing and shipbuilding often feel left behind by an economy centered on finance, technology and services. While wealth has grown, it has not been shared evenly. This economic divide has fostered resentment and fueled a belief that national success is not reaching everyone.
Politics has deepened these divisions. Brexit exposed profound differences between generations, regions and social groups. For some it represented sovereignty and opportunity; for others it symbolised economic risk and isolation. Rather than healing after the referendum, many of these divisions endured, leaving a country that often appears to argue more about its identity than its future.
BRITAINS MAIN POLITICAL PARTIES -THEIR AIMS AND ASPIRATIONS FOR THE UK AND ITS LEADERS
THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY
The Conservative party have made some progress under Kemi Badenoch but at this time it’s been a just words? It will take a long time for the people of this country to forget that their 14-year tenure in No 10 has led to the state our country is in at this time.
The problem of the boats and immigration in particular lies at the feet of Boris Johnson and is Government. For fourteen years, successive Conservative governments promised disciplined spending, efficient public services and a laser-focus on value for money. What Britain received instead was an era marked by squandered billions, failed outsourcing experiments, collapsing contractors, and infrastructure schemes that spiralled far beyond their original budgets. From pandemic procurement scandals to defence projects stuck in perpetual delay, from disastrous privatisation ventures to the slow decay of critical public infrastructure, the Tory record has left the country with an eye-watering bill and little to show for it. This introduction sets the stage for examining how a political project built on austerity and “fiscal responsibility” ended up presiding over one of the most wasteful periods in modern British economic history. During that time the Conservatives bloated the national debt from £900 billion in 2010 to almost £3 trillion in 2024. Any government arriving after this point was always going to be pushing a boulder up a hill.
They never be trusted!!!
REFORM UK
Nigel Farage and Reform Uk…probably the most reviled politician in the country? And there is a reason for that, he is the one that the other parties are afraid of hence the many things he is accused of.
In spite of all the crap he his accused of, he is still their fighting for this country as his love for Britain will never be dimmed! His idea of bringing people who have been successful in business is a good one, would you rather have that working with a politician who as never achieved anything other than getting elected supporting him as Prime Minister. Yes, immigration is always a ‘port of call’ because people believe that immigration is changing our country in ways that they disagree with, and it appears no one in Government has the integrity to say this. However it will see him raise his game and get the people of Britain to realise he is our last chance!!!
THE LABOUR PARTY
Andy Burnham the man they say is the prodigal son? But they say, ‘the higher the monkey climbs the tree the more you see his arse’ and that is how you could describe our Prime Minister? His party always had the idea that you can run the economy with ‘everybody cleaning everybody else’s windows’!!!
To start with the so call ‘King of the North’ left his beloved Manchester with a 1.7 billion debt. And the sale of real estate in Manchester East was sold to the current owner of Manchester City…it is stated that the land was undervalued when sold making a hefty profit!
So far, we have not been party to any great policies that would make our country a better place to live and work. What we have seen is that pensioners will be poorer.
Andy Haldane was chief economist at the Bank of England, so knows what he's talking about. He’s just said that Healey must balance the books in his upcoming Budget or risk plunging Britain into a financial crisis. He also says the chancellor cannot do it by hiking taxes, which would be “disastrous” and risk “createring growth”. Instead, Healey must do the unthinkable. At least, it's unthinkable for a Labour chancellor working under this Labour PM. Haldane says Healey must “take the knife” to ballooning public spending. But Andy Andy will not accept that!!!
LIBERAL DEMOCRATS
Sir Ed Davey is one of the most recognisable figures in British politics, serving as leader of the Liberal Democrats since 2020 and as the party's most prominent national voice. He previously served in government as Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change and has been the Member of Parliament for Kingston and Surbiton for many years.
As Liberal Democrat leader, Davey has sought to position his party as a moderate, centrist alternative, campaigning on issues such as public services, environmental protection, and political reform. Supporters view him as a compassionate and pragmatic politician, while critics argue that he has struggled at times to break through in a crowded political landscape.
Many pundits cast him as a Pantomime Dame for some of his exploits that always end in ignominy?
What often sets Davey apart is his personal story. After losing both of his parents at a young age, he was raised by his grandparents and has spoken extensively about the importance of care and support for families. His experience as a lifelong carer has shaped much of his political outlook, particularly on health and social care.

RESTORE UK
For many Reform UK supporters, the greatest threat to their party does not come from Labour or the Liberal Democrats. It comes from division within their own ranks. That is why some are beginning to ask whether Rupert Lowe has become the Conservatives' most effective weapon against Reform.
To be clear, there is no evidence that Lowe has acted on behalf of the Conservative Party. Yet politically, the effect can appear remarkably similar. At the very moment Reform has sought to unite disillusioned voters behind a single insurgent movement, internal disputes and personal rivalries have threatened to distract from that mission.
Reform's strength has always been its ability to present itself as a clear alternative to the political establishment. The more time spent on internal arguments, leadership speculation and factional battles, the less time is spent challenging the government's record and winning over new voters.
From this perspective, Lowe risks becoming a political Trojan horse, the question is, is this a Tory plot?
